World Heritage Day ( It is also known as International day for Monuments and Sites) celebrated each year on 18th April, around the world with different types of activities. On the same context, Schiller Senior Secondary School also celebrated World Heritage Day on 18th April 2018 by organizing a visit of students and teachers to heritage sites of Ghaziabad and to prepare a documentary on it. The objective of School for celebrating World Heritage Day was to make people aware about the importance of cultural heritage and its preservation. Theme of the celebration was "Ghaziauddin to Ghaziabad". Students participated and visited the following sites of our Ghaziabad city :- 1) Dasna Gate 2) Delhi Gate 3) Ghanta Ghar. Students also took interview of the nearby residents and passersby who told about the facts and steps to be taken for the maintenance of the site. They met with different people of different age groups; people shared their experience and views It was a great day with full of excitement and experience for the students .They actively participated in different activities like - taking interview, photography, videography and spread awareness among the citizens about the need for preservation and protection of cultural heritage, historical monuments and sites.
